A flying saucer lands in the middle of the night near Los Angeles. A few extraterrestrials, sent to Earth on a botanical exploration mission, get out of the craft, but one of them ventures beyond the clearing where the shuttle is located. He then heads towards the city. This is his first discovery of human civilization.
