Stranger Things is a dramatic television program of American science fiction-fiction created by the Duffer Brothers and broadcast on Netflix . The show takes place in the 1980s in the fictitious city of Hawkins, Indiana. The series is centered on a group of friends as they investigate many supernatural events that occur in the city. They develop a connection with a hostile alternative reality called "Upsy Down" and must find ways to escape it.
