Launched in 2000 with X-Men, the series depicts a world where a small proportion of people are mutants, whose possession of superhuman powers arouses the distrust of normal humans. It focuses on the Wolverine and Rogue mutants which are led to conflict with two groups which have radically different approaches to make the Mutants 'race accepted: the X-Men of Professor Xavier and the Mutants' brotherhood, led by Magneto. The film was followed by X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand to complete the original trilogy, starring a range of characters that were finally given the pop! Vinyl.
